THE KNOWLEDGE

The blender is a novelty with an interesting approach to the set. The customer is offered to dial up the necessary number of nozzles himself, in order to possess only the necessary devices. As the result there was not one but 4 boxes brought for testing, the first one included blender with blender, whisk, shredder and cup. Then the individual boxes with a nozzle for pureeing, mini-combine and shredder with double blades.

Immersion part of the ProMix blender is equipped with a titanium coated blade TiN . The coating “promises” to make the knife six times more durable than ordinary stainless steel knives and to prolong its life span. Lower part of the nozzle is shaped like a bell with a wavy edge.

Instead of the usual whisk, there is a pair of whisk attachments, just like in a mixer. A rather large adapter is available for attaching them to the processor.

The chopper has two choppers that are exactly the same. The difference is that the additional one comes with two new knives. One for chopping large quantities of food, the other for ice. Chopper bowls stand on feet with rubber rim against slipping.

The puree peeler is made of glossy black plastic, about 1 mm thick. Diameter of the nozzle 98 mm.

The bowl of the mini-machine has a capacity of 1.5 liters. The bowl knife is put not on the auger, but on a special cylindrical insert, it is easy to put on and take off. Grater is installed on the same insert.

The bits are locked in place with a big button that clicks into place and can be easily unscrewed.

DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL

Processor is controlled by a single button SpeedTouch. It reacts to pressure, so it’s very intuitive to select. You can change the speed repeatedly depending on how well you work any particular piece. The maximum speed of the processor is turbo mode activated by pressing the button all the way down . The button is right under my index finger. There is a slight resistance and a slight fixation of the position when I press the blender, so that I don’t have to increase the speed uncontrollably. The shape of the processor is very comfortable, with small diamond-shaped inserts in places where it contacts the palm against slipping.

THE TOOLS

The whisk attachments are made of thick steel wire.

These are attachments from the basic set, two instead of the usual one. The whisk attachment has two holes, just like a mixer. Why have two whisk attachments instead of one?? For whipping heavier mixes, biscuit dough, mashed potatoes. We try to make light, airy mashed potatoes. First impressions: the blender is more convenient than the mixer, the device is not as cumbersome, it does not make as much noise and works dashingly. First we mashed the potatoes with a pusher, then we worked with the mixer, smoothed the mass and started to add hot milk and butter. The result in the photo is a lush, delicate puree, and it’s faster and somehow more labor-saving than using a mixer.

Mashing nozzle.

Mashing blade is removable, it is easy to put it on, but we could not take it off, apparently, this is not supposed to, although it is easier to wash the head without a knife. As it works, it grabs the potato pieces and guides them to the sieve. No lumps formed thanks to its tight fit. The accessory works very quickly and can mashed potato potatoes in no time at all. It is interesting that the mass which gathers on top of mixers is not so tightly seated, and you can shake it off even without a spatula, perhaps the reason for this is the smooth surface. But picking up leftovers from under the knives is a hassle. Black color grater, so it won’t stain brightly colored carrots and pumpkins.

Shredder.

Larger bowl – 1 liter, the XL name stands for it. In general the idea is interesting, it’s not always convenient to chop meat or herbs in a mill – the volume is small, in a combine too much difficult – often the mass is just scattered on the walls of an overly large bowl and nothing comes out. Here, the ratio of the size of the bottom to the height correctly concentrates the mass, and the knives handle it smoothly. The chopper has a dual blade: one pair of blades at the bottom, the second, slightly smaller blade stands taller to cover the entire volume. The knife is collapsible, the upper part can be removed. We decided to make a cutlet out of some fish fillets. When shredding, we noticed that the lower blades do the job much faster. The product is very thick and viscous, so there is no mixing of the layers. The mass got finely chopped anyway. And it all happened pretty fast and somehow gently, not overpowering. In general, I liked the knives.

Another pair of shredder blades for crushing ice. Curved blades with internally ground upper blade and externally ground lower blade. Grinding is done between upper and lower knives. We tested the ability of the blades on ice cubes with the size of 15x30x15 mm. In about 30 seconds we got almost equal particles the size of a grain of pearl barley, just perfect for a smoothie.

The grater of the mini-combine.

The grater of the mini-combine has two working planes. On one side, medium-sized vegetable slicer with 5 mm holes. On the other hand, a slicer with a knife height of about 2 millimeters. With the grater we shredded carrots very quickly and beautifully. Slice for a salad or stir-fry. The cutoff is minimal. Chopped onions with the slicer. And we managed to chop it whole, look at the photo – the rings “stand” in a column, they are almost not scattered in the bowl. Agree, this says a lot, above all, the quality of the blade and the speed. Thanks to the fact that the grater is put on top of the rod, there are no corners where waste collects. The lid of the bowl is made so that there is no place for waste to collect.

GENERAL IMPRESSION

Very nice, adequate response of the processor button: no need to get used to its arrangement at all. Unobtrusive sound, excellent speed. All nozzles are pleased with their abilities. The materials are of high quality, the assembly is convincing. An interesting design of knives and cutters that don’t require a hard fixation: put them on and everything is in place, and again, it’s not hard to wash. A pleasant surprise is the double whisk, it is quite possible to give up the usual mixer.

Possibility to dial in a blender set, easy assembly/disassembly.

Chopper blade can not be removed. The knives for the chopper are not sold separately.
