MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDATIONS
Continuous operation for up to 30 seconds. Can grind nuts and other dry and brittle products. We do not allow: hard and fresh ginger, chocolate, sesame, products with high fat content: cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, peanuts, wheat, rice, corn. Black pepper can be ground, but a separate mill is desirable. Grinding time tips: medium grind for making a drink in drip coffee makers:
14-16 seconds, 24-28 seconds for espresso and fine grind.
USABILITY TEST
Bottom has a device for winding the cord. The lid is not screwed on, but put on tightly and locked. Built-in key in the lid, pressing it activates the appliance. If the lid is not put on correctly, the key does not match the slot in the switch and the grinder does not start.
FULL LOAD TEST
The manufacturer does not recommend grinding the maximum portion of 60 g at once: if there is a need, the coffee should not be poured all at once, but gradually. It means that 60 gr grinds enough, as our tests have also proved, but it is the lower part that grinds well, and it is not very convenient to add some coffee beans in the process. We would not recommend to use full load, but grind 30-40 grams each in this model.
TEST FOR 2 Cups 20g
Most models were tested in 10-second cycles to see how many of these cycles would result in a fine grind for Turkish coffee. But in this case we were guided by the “grinding guide” from the instructions. So, a coarse grind was achieved in 16s – all true. But when we added 10 seconds more we got no chance to grind a Turkish coffee, it was more of an espresso grind. The necessary fine consistency was reached after 3 cycles of 10 seconds, all in all – almost a minute.
Hello! I would like to know if anyone has used the Sinbo SCM 2923 test grinder? How efficient and easy to use is it? Does it provide consistent results in grinding different types of materials? Any feedback or recommendations would be highly appreciated. Thank you!
