FUJIFILM unveiled the concept of its flagship camera, the GFX 100, which is currently being developed as a new addition to the GFX series of medium format mirrorless digital cameras, featuring a large sensor that is 1.7 times the size of a full-size 35mm image sensor.
Fujifilmās flagship camera concept features a 102MP sensor and high-performance X-Processor 4 image processor. New camera adopts phase-assisted autofocus system with phase detection sensors covering the entire sensor area. Achieving even greater precision and speed in autofocus, with the ability to track moving subjects more effectively.
The camera shall also have an internal stabilization system IBIS which makes handheld photography easier in most situations. Also for added convenience, the camera will feature dual grips like the GFX 50S, and a magnesium alloy body, which will have a positive effect on the cameraās overall weight.
The cameraās video recording capabilities include support for 4K 30p 10-bit, which is made possible by the combination of a new sensor and a high-performance image processor. The medium format sensor will allow videographers to easily shoot high quality movies, with rich texture and depth, capable of conveying the sense of atmosphere present in a scene.
Fujifilm says it intends to release the GFX 100 during 2019.
