FUJIFILM Corporation announced it will release the FUJINON GF 250 mm F4 R LM OIS WR lens and the FUJINON GF 1 teleconverter in May 2018.4X TC WR, which will be the 7th and 8th models in the GF lens series.
The lens and teleconverter join the GF range of interchangeable lenses for large sensor 43.8×32.9mm mirrorless medium-format digital cameras of the GFX series. With these new models, the telephoto range of GFX lenses is set to expand dramatically.
The GF 250 mm F4 R LM OIS WR is a telephoto lens that exploits Fujifilm’s superior optical technology and captures any scene with its combination of high resolution and powerful bokeh effect. The lens design consists of 16 elements in 10 groups, including two ultra-low dispersion elements and one Super ED element.
The lens also features a new pre-focusing function that allows the photographer to instantly activate the focus settings previously stored in the lens memory. Use of magnesium alloy body reduces product weight. Furthermore, the lens is dust/moisture resistant and able to operate in temperatures down to -10°C, making it a reliable partner for professional photographers.
GF1 tele conversion lens.4X TC WR provides 1.4x zoom without sacrificing image quality, allowing you to expand the potential of your shared lenses. Its optical design has 7 elements in 3 groups and its total weight is 400g. Fujifilm will launch the “MCEX-18G” and “MCEX-45G” macro rings at the same time as the lens and teleconverter to expand the range of macro photography.
With the introduction of the new GFX series, Fujifilm is giving photographers an even wider range of focal lengths for more photo opportunities.
