ViewSonic Corporation, the world’s leading provider of imaging products, has invited four creative industry leaders with years of experience in developing professional tools and providing services to creatives – Blurb, Shoot the Frame STF , Tinyspace and TourBox – to host the ColorPro Award Global Photography Contest. The theme of the contest is “kindness,” and each participant can submit their photos between August 18 and 30 to demonstrate what kindness means to them personally. The prizes of the contest include a professional ViewSonic ColorPro VP2785-2K monitor and a set of various tools for photographers.
“We’re very excited to host this global contest with our partners and help generate positive energy in our difficult times,” said Oscar Lin, ViewSonic’s head of monitor business unit. – Through this contest, we aim to encourage people to tell stories and share touching moments of kindness through photographs. Our goal is to inspire creativity and show how much goodness there is in the world no matter where our contributors live.
With full respect for creativity and creative freedom of expression, the ColorPro Award places no restrictions on the size, aspect ratio, style or composition of entries. Professional and amateur photographers from around the world are eligible to participate. Authors may submit more than one entry. The ColorPro Awards ambassadors are two renowned professional photographers, Luke Stackpool and Kai W. They share their “good” photos. Luke Stackpool’s photo shows a sled dog sheltering his pups from a blizzard in -35°C temperatures, reflecting his maternal instinct and concern for his offspring. And Kai Wee’s breathtakingly compositional and dynamic photo shows a butcher helping a little girl open the straw hole on a tea bag with a meat knife.
Partner companies will award generous prizes for the most inspiring entries. In addition to the $1,000 cash prize, the grand prize includes a ViewSonic ColorPro VP2785-2K professional display and TourBox controller to help authors further improve their skills. STF, Tinyspace and Blurb will also provide memberships and vouchers so photographers can showcase their work, create an online portfolio, take advantage of online prints and self-publish.
All photos submitted will be judged on three main aspects: 1 overall impression and emotion 2 originality, creativity and story 3 technical aspects such as lighting, exposure, color, tone and execution excellence.
