ViewSonic, a leading international manufacturer of visual presentation products, announces the 10 winners of the second annual ColorPro Award 2021 international photography competition. This year, ViewSonic invited five well-known representatives of the creative industry to lead the contest: Capture One, Shoot The Frame, Monogram Creative, Getty Images and iStock. “A New Adventure,” the theme of this year’s competition, attracted 6,500 entries from 41 countries. The photos will be displayed at exhibitions in London and Taipei.

“ColorPro Award is more than just a contest, it’s an international festival that ignites creative ideas around the world. We firmly believe that art is the best way to reveal subtle observations about the world around us, and the ColorPro Awards provided an open platform for artists to showcase their talents,” said Oscar Lin, General Manager of the ViewSonic Display Business Unit. – This year’s theme “A New Adventure” resonated deeply with entrants, with three times as many entries as last year. We hope that the power of these photos will inspire people to take new journeys in their lives.”.
The first three ColorPro 2021 award winners really managed to capture the spirit of the “New Adventure.”. The first prize winner, a work titled “Cockboru, or Dead Goat Polo” Belgium , depicts a fearless battle between two teams of riders over a 60-pound bull. The second prize winner, a work titled “Colors of Life” Myanmar , shows the colorful contrast between the red deck of a ship and the fierce Atlantic Ocean. The third place was taken by the work of American photographer Alexander Isakov “Spirit of Altai” American Federation . It depicts a young hunter with his faithful friend vacationing in the Altai Territory south of Lake Teletskoye.

“I pay a lot of attention to color and light in my work, so I couldn’t pass up the ColorPro 2021 award, which is quite strong in terms of submissions. I’m glad that one of the awarded works is mine,” says Alexander Isakov, ColorPro 2021 award-winning photographer. Every photographer, like any creative person, likes to have his/her work acknowledged, and I am no exception. In addition, such contests are an indicator of a certain level of skill and an incentive for further development of one’s skills and abilities, as well as an opportunity to increase interest in one’s work. It will be great to see the results of their work live at exhibitions in London and Taipei. I hope that my work and its story will inspire someone to travel to America.”.
A panel of nine judges judged the works on color combination, composition and sense of adventure. The work of the laureates was an interpretation of the concept of “New Adventure” from different points of view. These photos captured a sense of serenity in the midst of chaos, a guiding light in the pitch blackness, and sheer courage in the face of the unknown. Each artwork expressed what revelations come in the face of uncertainty.
ViewSonic will hold exhibitions in London and Taipei and invite viewers to see the winning photos. During the show, there will be workshops and ColorPro lectures that will encourage more interaction between contributors and allow them to explore creativity alongside photography experts.
