One of the largest digital photo contests has started, in which both amateurs and professionals can take part. Competition viewers can also win prizes. At //gopc.olympus-imaging.The Olympus Global Open Photo Contest has opened for entries, giving photographers the chance to showcase their talents and get recognition. Entries will continue to be accepted until 06:00 on Friday, November 20, 2015.
Entries are accepted in 4 categories divided into 5 themes: Life “Birth” , Future “Protected Places” , People “Smiles” , and Technique “Macro” and “Art Photography” . Photos must be submitted in JPEG format with a maximum size of 15 MB. Up to 5 photos can be submitted for one of the themes.
Participants have the ability to change photo descriptions, delete and add photos throughout the contest period. Photos may be taken with any digital camera or smartphone and uploaded to the contest site. Photographs processed using special software are also acceptable.
The jury will announce the results on the competition website in February 2016. The Grand Prize one winner who will receive the latest PEN series camera and ¥1 million €7,400 will be awarded among all entries in all categories. A further 14 prizes will also be awarded in all categories 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and an additional winner will receive an Olympus camera, 10 special mentions from the jury each comes with a special edition Moleskine notebook . The total value of the prizes to be raffled off is around €30,000.
As part of the competition, there will also be a raffle among visitors to the competition site. Anyone who registers on the site whether or not they enter the contest themselves will have a chance to win either the latest PEN series camera or one of the 300 special edition Moleskine notebooks.
