We will need:
We will need:
4 flounder fillets,
2 tbsp. Spoonfuls of olive oil,
salt.
Sauce:
500g shrimps,
1 onion,
1 garlic clove,
4 passion fruit,
1 tbsp. tablespoon of butter,
2 cups sour cream,
2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil,
2 bay leaves,
1 cup flour,
2 tbsp. 1/5 teaspoon olive oil,
ground black pepper,
salt.
Method of preparation:
Season the plaice and shrimp with salt and leave for 15 minutes to allow the salt to absorb. Drain on a napkin. Baste in flour. Fry the fish in the olive oil.
For the sauce
Mince garlic, add onion and sauté together with butter and olive oil, add bay leaf. Fry it all together with the shrimp for three minutes, put in the sour cream and heat for another three minutes. Peel passion fruit from skin and seeds, chop pulp in blender and pour into sauce. Place the flounder on a baking tray, pour the sauce over it and bake in the oven for three minutes as well. Serve with rice or boiled or fried potatoes.
This sounds like an intriguing combination of flavors! I’m curious about how the sweetness of passion fruit complements the seafood. Can you please share more about the taste profile and cooking technique for this dish?
