Valentine’s cake

For biscuits:

Prepare in order:

To make the sponge cake, beat the eggs with sugar, add the sour cream and flour and mix thoroughly, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and baking soda.

Preheat the oven to 170 C. Prepare a cast-iron skillet or baking dish in advance with butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs or flour . Pour the dough into the mould. Cakes bake for about 30 minutes.

To make the grillage we need to chop the nuts., And then we fry them in a pan, stirring quickly so they don’t stick. Add honey, the juice of a lemon and a little water. As soon as everything is browned, put the grillage on parchment and let it cool.

Melt chocolate in a water bath, mix it with mascarpone cheese, add a spoonful of cocoa. Break the cooled grilliage and grind in a blender.

Cut the ready cake in half, smear it with cream and sprinkle with grillage.

I decorate the cake with raspberries and blackberries.

Put it in a cool place.

I put the berries in the shape of a heart, and then cut off the edges, which were not necessary. It took me about 2 hours to make.5 – 3 hours.
