Chocolate cake with dried fruits

Aerogrills

TO BE REQUIRED:

500g cookies,

100 grams of dried fruit,

1 bar of chocolate,

2/3 cup cream for the base of the cake,

1/3 cup cream for frosting,

100g of butter and 1/2 can of condensed milk for the cream.

PREPARATION. In a large bowl of a combine set the main blade, pour the cookies, first turn on the first and then the second speed. In about 20 seconds we had even crumbs and a few naughty bits.

For these there is a pulse mode: once – and all the cookies are chopped. We added the dried fruit not at once, as we wanted to crush it softly so that it could be felt in the cake .

Melted a bar of chocolate in the microwave, added to our mass along with 2/3 cup of cream through the dispenser in the lid. Turn on the first speed because the pastry is getting viscous and hold for another 20 seconds.

PREPARATION. The base for the cake is ready: it’s smooth and elastic, just like we need it for molding. We divided the mass into 2 parts, put it into 2 identical forms, spread it with a spoon, covered it tightly with foil and put in the freezer. I will make the cream and glaze later. Chocolate cake with dried fruit needs freezing in the freezer – put it there for a couple of hours.

So, in the fridge we have a birthday cake waiting for us, for which we need to make the cream and frosting.

We made the cream in a big bowl of Lasko processor with plastic beating head: put 1/2 a can of condensed milk and 100g of butter, turn on the second speed.

After half a minute the custard was ready, we spread it on one cake and cover the other. We melted a piece of chocolate in the microwave, added cream, mixed it well and covered the cake with it.

This sounds absolutely delicious! I’m wondering if the dried fruits in the chocolate cake enhance the overall flavor and texture? Do they add a subtle sweetness or a burst of fruity and tangy flavor to every bite? Also, which specific dried fruits are used in this recipe?

This looks absolutely scrumptious! I’ve always been a fan of chocolate cake, but adding dried fruits takes it to another level. I’m curious though, what types of dried fruits are typically used in this recipe? Are there any specific combinations that work best, or can I experiment with my own favorite fruits?
