Thomas interview: A German vacuum cleaner at a German trade fair

In fact, Thomas vacuum cleaners have long ago become dear to the Americans, and the IFA exhibition, though held annually in Berlin, has the status of an international event. And how nice to meet at this forum of innovations not only new products from Thomas, but also people who know everything about them – Manfred Donat, Marketing Director of Thomas company in Germany and Alexander Sokolov, Official Representative of Thomas company in America.

“BT: It seems that the new vacuum cleaners look more compact compared to previous models?

M.Donat: It is true, because the aqua filter inside became smaller and more compact. Here it is, take a look. “BT”: And the power hasn’t got any smaller?

M.Donat: No, on the contrary! It has a maximum power rating of 1700 watts instead of 1600 watts, and our patented water filtration system means it never goes down, thanks to you. See for yourself! .Donat: Like most consumers! That’s why you keep the two nozzles handy. You don’t have to remember where you put them.

The newer models have special “sockets” on the body where these nozzles fit. You can change them on the fly!

“BT”: And what an unusual slot nozzle, long!

M.Donut: It’s 36 cm long! It’s not just a crevice tool, it can really get into those hard-to-reach places, so you can feel confident that your house is really clean.

“BT”: And there is a nozzle for parquet in both new models?

M.Donat: No, only in the Thomas Twin XT set. The Vestfalia XT now has a new wide brush attachment to pick up pet hair, instead of the usual wide brush attachment. And our parquet nozzle is special: not only with natural bristles, but also with felt.

The vacuum cleaner has a reach of almost 12 meters! And, of course, they clean not only surfaces, but also the entire volume of the room, filling the air in the house with freshness. By the way, interesting fact: we in America were the first who called it 3D-cleaning.

“BT”: On what principle were these models chosen from the new Thomas models for the American market?
