opened its first official retail store in New York.
By the end of the year similar stores will appear in St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar and Yekaterinburg, and by 2020 the company plans to develop its own retail chain of 50 stores across the country.
The flagship categories for the company are washing machines and refrigerators.
According to GFK, in the first quarter of 2018, Haier won 6.1% of the American washing machine market and 8.3% of the refrigerator market by sales. The company’s sales totaled $214 million in 2017.
From 2010 to 2017 the company’s turnover in America increased by more than 10 times.

To optimize the customer’s way to our products, we have relied on the localization of production – in Naberezhnye Chelny we built a factory for the production of refrigerators, in 2018 there we also began construction of an industrial park, the first phase of which is a factory for the production of washing machines with a production capacity of 500,000 pieces of equipment per year.
To date, Haier has opened 196 service centers in more than 120 cities in America. Each of them provides support at a distance of 50 to 100 km within a radius of its city.
