Not bad sound, the ability to playback Blu-ray discs.
A little inconvenient that you can not set the distance to each of the rear and front speakers separately.
Samsung BD-2 home theater
DESIGN FEATURES
The BD-2 system from Samsung looks very respectable, so to speak, and makes you treat yourself with respect. In addition to regular CDs the apparatus is capable of playing Blu-ray discs. It’s worth mentioning that this is one of the very few one-box home theaters on the market that can play Blu-ray discs. Due to the presence of Ethernet port can make software updates over the Internet. The loudspeakers of the speaker system can be mounted on special stands or suspended from the wall.
SOUND QUALITY
The music was played through two front speakers and a subwoofer. The acoustic system faithfully reproduces the sense of space, the sound is very airy and comfortable. A saxophone plays very well – it sounds natural and velvety. The bass is powerful, resilient, and complements the other instruments perfectly. At the same time, however, the bass notes sound a bit boomy.
Percussion parts are clear and detailed. Pretty realistic cymbals, bass drum sounds powerful and punchy. The voices of the vocalists sound a little “sotto voce. Decent acoustic guitar sound – it’s transmitted naturally and in detail – you can hear the musician’s fingers moving over the fingerboard. No problems with localization of musical images – everything sounds exactly where it should.
Listening to the concert recordings I was struck by the excellent sound of the drums – the bass drum literally echoes inside your body. You can feel the intensity and energy of the live show very well. When playing movie soundtracks BD-2 shows a good transfer of the film atmosphere, creating a fairly realistic sense of immersion in the events taking place on the screen. Quite good reproduction of different small sounds: the crunch of snow underfoot, footsteps, the noise of the forest, the ringing of ammunition, etc.p. Naturally, the dialogues sound with natural intonations and timbres. The localization of objects is quite correct.
FUNCTIONALITY
The BD-2 easily handles the latest multi-channel audio formats including Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Convenient and conscientiously designed OSD menu won’t let you get confused with the various options when configuring the system. In manual mode you can adjust the distance to each speaker and the signal level. However, there is one disadvantage – the distance is not set for each speaker individually, but for pairs of speakers. That means you can set the same distance for just a pair of front speakers, a pair of rear speakers, and a pair of surround speakers. It’s not very convenient, because the distance to, say, the right and left front speakers can be different, for example, due to the room configuration or furniture arrangement in the room. Check the correctness of the speaker system can be checked with the test signal.
The BD-2 is capable of playing back video at 60 fps and 24 fps, which is what most of the movies use. Movie Frame 24s lets you switch from one frequency to another. The BD-2’s Anynet+ feature allows you to control your home theater with just your TV remote, as long as you use a Samsung TV.

Can anyone provide their thoughts or opinions on the performance and features of the Samsung BD-2 home theater system? I’m considering purchasing one and would like to hear from those who have used it. How is the audio quality and the overall user experience? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
