The design
Put the body of the blender BBK KBS0505 on the table. It has feet with rubber suction cups so it won’t slip while working.
A jug bowl can be attached to the body. No need to turn it, you just place the jug at random and the blender is ready for use. The bowl has a lid on top with a cup in the center that can be removed to add ingredients.
The body is plastic, light enough.
The bowl is made of transparent plastic. It is large: the maximum volume is one and a half liters. And it is convenient and easy to hold by the wide handle with special groove for finger.
Markings on the walls of the bowl allow you to clearly control the volume and amount of ingredients.
The plastic lid has a rubber seal that ensures a snug fit to the jug, so you don’t have to worry about jamming the lid with your hand when the blender is in use. In addition, there are notches on both sides of the lid that cover the spout of the bowl, which reliably prevents accidental splashing when mixing drinks.
The beaker in the center of the lid is made of transparent plastic. It has no volume labeling, which is inconvenient and prevents its use for measuring the right amount of ingredients.
Even a new blender has no plastic odor.
Check the convenience
The jug bowl can be effortlessly placed on the housing.
It is very convenient that you do not need to look for a special position, you can put the jug to any side.
The lid clings to the jug very well and won’t come off even when the blender is running at top speed.
It is also quite easy to remove the jug with the beverage in it: you just take it out. Nozzle facilitates pouring of drinks into glasses.
The only thing I did not like: the cup of the lid occasionally “flew out” when I took it off the bowl. Labels on this cup would be helpful.
The body of the blender during cooking is stable, does not jump on the table – the feet are great to prevent slipping.
If the jug is not installed, the blender does not turn on. This is perfect!
But, if the jug is not covered, the blender will turn on, so don’t forget it.
Controls
On the front panel of the body there is a round rotary switch. And when you turn it to the right, it switches between mode one and mode two. The blender modes are numbered.
The inscriptions are clear and well legible. On the left side is the letter P. I don’t know why. The switch does not turn this way, and the pulse mode button is located at the bottom of the rotary switch.
Pulse mode can be turned on in different ways. First of all, it works on its own by pressing a key. Secondly, it can be activated when the blender is running on 1 or 2 speed if you need to increase the power for a few seconds.
After plugging in the blender lights up around the rotary switch, it is lit regardless of whether the blender is working or not, just shows that the plug is in the socket.
Check the functionality
This is a very tasty test!
I recommend everyone to test blender, especially in the heat. The recipe is simple: berries, juice, ice cream – a minute and a cool, thick drink is ready. You can add milk, banana, honey and cinnamon instead of juice, and a nutritious afternoon snack is to everyone’s taste.
This blender is convenient for making large portions, this is an advantage over fitness blenders, which are designed for batch blending.
The blender is suitable for whipping dough for pancakes, but for sauces it is not very convenient to use because of its size, of course, unless you need a lot of pesto or homemade mayonnaise.
The manual says that the blender can not be used to crush ice. But who reads the manuals! I didn’t read it either, and have been making iced cold drinks just fine. Blender crushes ice great if there is not much of it.
If you run the blender on two speeds for two minutes, the ice in the drink is ground into a fine-tinny crumb.
I measured the blender’s power while it was running. Average power ~300 – 315 watts.
Once for a few seconds the blender was running at 400 watts.
It is a good thing that the device does not have to work at its peak for quality mixing of ingredients.
Two minutes of operation is enough to make a whole pitcher of smoothies, which is 1.5 liters – enough for everyone!
Care
The jug should be washed by hand along with the dishes.
There is an additional option: you can pour water into the jug, add a drop of dishwashing detergent, close the jug with the lid, and turn on the blender for half a minute. Then simply rinse out jug and lid. The manufacturers did not write about this method of cleaning in the instructions, but this is how you can wash any stationary blender.
General impression
BBK KBS0505 blender copes well with making smoothies and cold drinks.
It is easy to assemble, easy to turn on.
It is easy to put a jug before brewing and take it off afterwards, it is convenient for pouring drinks in glasses.
The blender is cute, the model is available to a huge number of users, as the price is more than democratic.
