Design
A very interesting device.
On the body on which the control panel is located, depending on the task at hand, a coffee grinder or fitness blender is installed. In this case, VES M-170 looks like a stationary blender.
And when shredding food, the bowl is set on the table, the body is placed on top. And VES M-170 turns into an immersion blender.
High body, made of black plastic. Its shape has been designed with all the nuances of use in mind: it is stable, but has a recess that makes it easy to grab with one hand.
On the bottom of the body there are three rubber feet, so it does not slip on the table when working.
The cord is long enough so that the blender can be placed far enough away from the power source.
The grinder cup is made of transparent plastic, it has a maximum level mark on one side.
The role of the lid is performed by the blade unit. Basically, this blender can also be used to grind spices, cereals, herbs and spices.
The large bowl of the chopper is equipped with rubber feet, so as not to slip on the table.
The shredder has a very unusual blade design – the blades are on two levels, two at the bottom and two in the middle. This allows large quantities of food to be blended more evenly.
The lid on the bowl is secured on small dents.
Interesting design of the bottle in which smoothies and cocktails are prepared. On the plastic body there is a silicone insert, by which the bottle is convenient to hold even with wet hands.
The bottle and grinder have tabs that are inserted in the slots in the body, then the containers should be turned clockwise with force until they click.
Check for convenience
To close or open the lid of the shredder requires a lot of effort, this is not very convenient. As for the installation of the bottle or grinder, everything is simpler.
The silicone insert on the bottle is very convenient to hold when you attach it to the body. It is not inconvenient to put the bottle upside down. But it is necessary to screw the lid very tight, otherwise a few drops of the mixture might drip while making a smoothie.
One more detail: there are marks only of the maximum level on the vessels and they are not particularly visible.
And everything is simple: you add the necessary ingredients to the bottle, pour some juice or milk, depending on the recipe. You set the bottle on the body and make a smoothie. Then, after cooking a little turn the bottle counterclockwise, remove it from the body, turn it over, unscrew the blade block, close the bottle with the cap, and you can go about your business, taking the finished drink with you.
Controls
As with all fitness blenders control is very simple: on the body there is a button, press it, the device works, do not press it – it stops. When operating the blender, manufacturers recommend pressing the button in pulses for a few seconds at a time.
Checking functionality
For this test, I only tested the operation of the blender, so I made a variety of smoothies – very tasty and almost always useful.
Smoothies are made great.
Ice is ground into fine crumbs.
The recommended operating time of one minute is more than enough time for a refreshing drink. The instructions have some interesting recipes, you can even make a spicy avocado smoothie with the addition of grape juice.
Measured power of the blender is 271 watts.
Enough power to shred all ingredients and even ice cubes.
Care
Containers and lids can be washed in the dishwasher. It is very comfortable. Just as easily they can be cleaned “manually” using an ordinary dishwashing detergent.
In the instructions, the manufacturers recommend caution when washing the blades: they are very sharp.
Blender knives are cleaned under running water, you do not even have to touch them with your hands.
Overall impression
VES M-170 is a very interesting gadget that combines the functions of a stationary and immersion blender. It’s great that each container is equipped with its own knife block, and the design of the knives is thoughtful for each cooking operation.
Makes smoothies in half a minute. The shape of the bottle is very convenient and practical due to the silicone insertion. The device is multifunctional, takes up little space when stored. The only thing I did not like the design of the chopper closing: you need to make a certain effort.
The blender is black, the design is simple but austere and versatile. The new containers have a slight smell, but after washing the smell disappears.
