Smartphone as a remote control for household appliances. From a business trip

What’s fantastic about a smartphone? Basically everything is clear and familiar. But did you know you can also use it to control your appliances?

How? You can change the oven’s operating mode, check the washing machine is done, turn the steam cooker off…

The smartphone display can show the time until the end of the program or information about any breakdown.

Why use it? “Ask the neighbor who leads her son by the hand. She goes to bed very late, she gets up very early…” Any “tortured housewife” would rejoice at the opportunity to be able to back up sometimes and, while outside at school, at work, at the fitness club, in the store – underline it , to monitor whether everything is in order in her home kingdom.

A new iPhone application, InfoControlPlus, has already been developed and launched by Miele. So it’s not fantasy, it’s just real life.

I’m curious about the convenience and compatibility of using a smartphone as a remote control for household appliances while away on a business trip. Can anyone share their experience with this technology? How reliable is it, and did you face any challenges in setting it up or connecting different appliances?
