Sigma has released further information regarding the compatibility of its interchangeable lenses with Nikon Z when mounted with an FTZ adapter. Sigma also stated that currently its interchangeable lenses with Canon EF mount have no problems when used in basic modes with Canon EOS R cameras through the EF-EOS R adapter.
Conditions of use of SIGMA and Nikon Z7 interchangeable lenses
When the interchangeable lenses from SIGMA’s current product line listed below are used together with Nikon Z7 and FTZ adapter, AF and AE modes work without any problems. In addition, lenses that have optical stabilization OS will perform most effectively if both the lens OS and the stabilization in the camera are turned on at the same time.

SIGMA 85mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art

Other precautions
-Use manual focus when shooting with lenses that do not include an AF motor.
-Teleconverters cannot be used together.
-Depending on shooting conditions, sufficient focus speed and precision may not be achieved. If necessary, use manual focus during shooting.
-Some lenses manufactured before November 2013 may require a firmware update to fully function
-Discontinued products have different conditions of use, depending on the model and date of manufacture. For further information please contact the nearest authorized SIGMA service center
Information on lenses manufactured before November 2013
SIGMA has confirmed that certain modes, such as AF, do not work correctly on certain lenses manufactured before November 2013, when used on Nikon DSLRs that include the latest firmware. In this case, SIGMA agrees to update the lens firmware free of charge. If products don’t work on the Z7, even if listed above, a lens firmware update could improve the situation.
Customers who own such lenses may contact their nearest authorized SIGMA distributor for further information.
Conditions of use of SIGMA and Canon EOS R interchangeable lenses
1. The Digital Lens Optimizer option of Lens Aberration Correction in Canon EOS R cameras does not work with SIGMA lenses. Digital Lens Optimizer [OFF] must be turned off before taking a picture.
If Digital Lens Optimizer is turned off but Peripheral illumination correction, Chromatic aberration correction or Distortion correction are enabled, they will work with the lenses listed below and released after March 2018 or with updated software version 2.0 and higher.
