Sigma has updated the firmware on two lenses for the Canon EF mount and MC-11 converter

Sigma has updated the firmware for the 17-70mm F2.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary and 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary to version 2.00. The MC-11 EF-E converter firmware has also been updated to version 1.19

Firmware 2.00 for 24-105mm F3 lenses.5-6.3 and 17-70mm F2.8-4. The main changes are:

-Added compatibility with Canon’s Aberration Correction feature, which allows you to correct for the optical characteristics of an installed lens.

-Fixed the phenomenon of abnormal images or performance errors occurring when the aberration correction function is enabled on a Canon camera.

Firmware version 1.19 for MC-11 EF-E converter. The main changes are:

-Added compatibility with the SIGMA 40mm F1 lens.4 DG HSM | Art for Canon.

-Added compatibility with SIGMA 17-70mm F2 lens.8-4 DC MACRO OS HSM and 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM with the latest firmware Ver.2.00.

Note

Before updating the firmware using the SIGMA USB DOCK, please make sure that you have updated the SIGMA Optimization Pro to version 1.4.1 or newer for Windows and Ver.1.4.0 or newer for Macintosh.
