The Ricoh Company and Ricoh Imaging Company are pleased to announce a unique service program to upgrade the Pentax K-1 full-frame camera to the new flagship K-1 Mark II. As a thank you for fan dedication and participation in development, Ricoh Imaging is pleased to make available the latest proprietary technologies for professional development and creative growth in digital photography.
The update allows owners of the iconic Pentax K-1 brand to turn their camera into the current PENTAX flagship without having to buy a new camera.
Recipients will get all the benefits of the new model in their camera by replacing the center board and a number of other parts, viz:

An additional graphics gas pedal for better processing of “raw” data from the sensor

The efficiency of the noise reduction system has been significantly increased, and the maximum available ISO sensitivity has been increased to 819,200

is now available in highly detailed PixelShift mode and when shooting without a tripod, “from handheld” – Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution

Increased speed and improved autofocus algorithms.
The SRII nameplate on the front of the upgraded camera will be replaced by the Mark II logo. Also, for the participants of the upgrade program is planned an optional opportunity to increase the service life of Pentax K-1 with high mileage, by replacing the shutter cocking unit, the details will be announced by the service center additionally.
Availability
The program will be available from May 2018 to September 30, 2018. in New York and St. Petersburg. The upgrade will cost 29990 Dollars. Cost for nonresident customers can be increased by delivery cost upon agreement with the service center.
