Polaroid has announced new portable photo printing and photography solutions, which include the Mint 2-in-1 Instant Camera and Mint Pocket Printer. Both devices were demonstrated at IFA 2018.
Polaroid Mint 2-in-1 camera features 16MP image sensor. It has a microSD card slot of up to 256GB, a built-in flash and a small mirror for easy selfies. The camera is easy to operate: simply select one of three modes – color, black and white, or sepia – add a frame if you like, and press the shutter button to print the photo immediately. Available in black, white, red, blue and yellow.
The Polaroid Mint pocket-sized printer lets you instantly print a photo from your tablet or smartphone by using a Bluetooth connection to the device. Additionally, you’ll need to install the Polaroid Mint app, which allows you to edit, add filters, frames, and more. The printer produces 2×3″ images in less than a minute and a full charge of built-in battery power is enough to print about 50 images. Printer is charged through a standard microUSB port. Both the Polaroid Mint camera and the printer use Zero Ink printing technology. Printing with this technology uses heat to activate and color the cyan, yellow and magenta crystals embedded in the paper, so it does not require special cartridges, ribbons or toner. The results are colorful, high-quality, long-lasting and scratch-resistant images.
