Nikon announces the NIKON PHOTO CONTEST 2020-21 photo contest

Nikon Europe announces the re-launch of the international Nikon Photo Contest, a competition for professional and amateur photographers from around the world. The contest is open to both professional and amateur photographers. No age, gender, or country of residence restrictions. Winners will be announced in July 2021.

Nikon Photo Contest 2020-21 photos and short videos can be submitted in two categories: Open “Open Category” and Next Generation “New Generation”, for photographers under 25 years old .

Open Category theme – Connect. Its participants will be asked to explore the meaning and importance of human relationships. In their work, photographers must demonstrate their unique vision of “relationships,” reflecting today’s times.

The main theme of the New Generation category is Passion. A feeling capable of spurring action and changing the future. Passion, movement and aspiration can turn the world upside down. Judges will select work that conveys a sense of power and pure aspiration, no matter what it depicts.

This year, a respected panel of judges will traditionally be chaired by art director Neville Brody. For over three decades, Brody’s own world-famous work has inspired many artists, including young photographers who have yet to prove themselves in the future.

Nikon Photo Contest – one of the largest photo contests in the world. It has been held since 1969. To date, some 440,000 photographers have submitted more than 1,710,000 entries, making it a truly international event. The Nikon Photo Contest 2019, the 37th edition of the 50th anniversary of its first edition, featured 97,369 entries from 33,000 photographers from 170 countries. The number of participants and submissions was higher than ever before.
