This new APS-C format lens with a versatile focal length range of 18-135 mm and an aperture range of F3.5-F5.6 features Optical SteadyShot™ Optical Image Stabilization System.
The new lens SEL18135 model features a compact and lightweight design measuring just 67.2 mm x 88 mm and weighing just 325 g, as well as a 7.5x optical zoom with a high magnification factor that covers a wide range of focal lengths of 18-135 mm 27-202.5 mm in 35 mm equivalent . Ideal for popular Sony APS-C sized cameras including the α6500, α6300 and α6000, this lens is extremely useful in a wide range of shooting situations from everyday photography to portraits, landscapes, travel and nature shoots.
The 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens with E bayonet provides superb clarity throughout the entire zoom range, thanks to an advanced optical design incorporating one aspherical element and two ED glass elements Extra-low Dispersion that minimise aberration. This lens allows photographers to capture close-ups with beautiful bokeh or defocused backgrounds thanks to a maximum magnification ratio of 0.29x and a minimum focus distance of 0.45m. It features built-in optical image stabilization for handheld shooting.
The 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 zoom lens also offers fast, accurate and silent autofocus thanks to a linear motor, making it an ideal addition for high-speed shooting and providing impressive video shooting capabilities when used with many Sony mirrorless cameras.
