NETGEAR released a complex solution for wireless networks of the next generation.

New York – May 20, 2014. – NETGEAR, a global provider of networking solutions for enterprises, Internet service providers and individual users, has expanded its ProSAFE line of business-class wireless devices with two new products designed for a wide range of applications, such as wireless networking in schools, colleges, dormitories and small hotels.

Features of the ProSAFE WN370 Access Point

ProSAFE WN370 Single Band 2 access point.4GHz Wireless-N Wall Mount Access Point is designed to provide access inside private rooms in dorms and small hotels. Compact size and design features allow you to quickly install an access point without the need for qualified personnel. WN370 is powered with a Gigabit Ethernet cable PoE and features four 100 Mbps ports and a separate port for IP telephony. The access point is centrally managed by the ProSAFE WC7600 controller and features automatic signal strength tuning, allowing for fast and secure wireless guest networking.

ProSAFE line of premium access points

With the addition of the WC7600 Wireless Controller, you get the ability to manage high-performance NETGEAR ProSAFE WNDAP620 and WNDAP660 access points with up to 450 Mbps of throughput. Up until now these points have worked only in stand-alone mode. Platform for managing single and dual band devices becomes unified.

In addition, customers can use the directional pattern shaping features of the 802.11n to improve coverage and increase data speeds. Power over Ethernet feature reduces network deployment costs. WNDAP660 features two 10/100/1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for increased network resiliency. Dual band operation, on 2 frequencies.4GHz and 5GHz, allows for near gigabit performance. The WNDAP620 has one Gigabit Ethernet port and is also dual-band, operating at 2.4GHz or 5GHz.
