It offers an intelligent automatic with 32 scene recognition and even several software filters, a simple operation interface and a built-in help system. A separate button on the body lets you record video, albeit at maximum 720p.
The great advantage of the device is its autonomy. Thanks to the use of two AA batteries, it is difficult to imagine that the A1400 user could find himself with a totally empty camera and no hope of getting it working again. Batteries are inexpensive and compact, buying an alkaline āspareā is usually not a problem, and from one set the camera takes up to 500 frames. The presence of a rudimentary zoom optical viewfinder, if desired, provides an opportunity to further increase autonomy.
