Fujifilm unveils X-T30 II mirrorless camera

Fujifilm has announced the X-T30 II, a new X-series camera with an APS-C sensor, which replaces the X-T30.

The new camera inherits both the performance and compact design of the X-T30, but also gets an improved 1:1 LCD.62 million dots.

Fast, high-precision autofocus and an improved continuous shooting function that lets you avoid missing the decisive moment in different situations

The X-T30 II features a 26.1MP X-TransTM CMOS 4 sensor and high-speed X-Processor 4 image processor for phase detection AF over the entire frame approximately 100% . The fastest X-series autofocus, triggered in 0.02 seconds, is complemented by an impressive tracking function that makes sure you don’t miss the decisive moment in various situations.

The camera allows continuous shooting without blackout at 8 fps with mechanical shutter and 30 fps with electronic shutter.

And the camera is equipped with phase detection AF in near darkness of -7.0 EV, which enables you to accurately capture the subject in low light and dark room conditions.

The autofocus system is based on the latest algorithm, which improves on the precise tracking of subject movement compared to the previous model. The camera can accurately track whether a subject is moving forward or away from the camera. Face/eye detection keeps the subject’s face or eyes in focus for portraits in which the subject is moving.

A variety of film simulation modes and advanced AUTO function for stunning image quality

The X-T30 II features 18 film simulation modes that simulate unique color combinations, tonalities and saturation levels, including the Classic Neg mode, based on color negatives and commonly used for everyday photography, and the ETERNA Bleach Bypass mode, which accurately simulates the film processing technique of the same name. Extended range gives users the option to select the mode that suits the situation, just like in the good old days.

The algorithm of the popular AUTO mode, which allows you to automatically adjust the parameters for each scene, has been improved and now achieves even higher image quality than the previous model. This mode automatically applies Color Chrome effect blue , clarity, dynamic range priority mode and other settings according to conditions. It makes landscapes clearer and brighter, the skin tone more beautiful, while emphasizing the blue of the sky and the natural background in portraits, and controlling light and shadow when shooting backlit subjects. AUTO mode makes it easier to capture beautiful images optimized for your individual requirements.

Extensive video recording capabilities

The X-T30 II uses the equivalent volume of 6K data to create 4K video, enabling high-definition shooting. The camera records 4K/30P 8-bit 4:2:0 video to the SD card, and 4K/30P 10-bit 4:2:2 video for output via HDMI cable. What’s more, the camera now supports high-speed Full HD/240P video and can capture fast-moving subjects in slow motion up to 10x.

Superb functionality for a variety of needs

The camera is suitable for a variety of shooting styles, such as full manual shooting, which uses the shutter speed dial on the top panel, and fast shooting in AUTO mode. The shutter speed control dial allows you to visually check current settings so users can prepare for future shooting while the camera is off. AUTO mode can be turned on with a simple flick of the auto mode knob on top of the camera body.

On the back of the body is a tiltable 3-inch touchscreen monitor with a high resolution of 1.62 million dots, which provides crisp, real-time images to check the scene being shot, making it easier to take photos and videos.

Price and availability

The Fujifilm X-T30 II will be available in October 2021. The camera will be priced at 69 999 Dollars for Body kit, 74 999 Dollars for the XC15-45mm lens kit and 99 999 Dollars for the XF18-55mm lens kit
