Key features of the Fujifilm GFX50S II

The GFX50S II features a medium-format sensor 44x33mm with a resolution of 51.4 MP, which is able to capture every detail of the scene you’re shooting. The sensor uses a special design with uniquely small light-gathering microlenses that create a wide gap between adjacent pixels, thereby maximizing light resolution per pixel for exceptional image sharpness.

Compared to a full frame sensor, the medium format sensor has a wider dynamic range and better signal/noise ratio. Images are therefore rich in tone and texture in both highlights and shadows, with minimal noise, even in low light conditions.

The GFX 50S II features a 5-axis Image Stabilization IS IBIS mechanism capable of compensating up to 6.5-stop exposure, the highest value in the GFX system. High-performance gyroscopic sensor and accelerometer, capable of high accuracy motion detection, make this possible.

The camera uses a contrast AF system, which is supported by a powerful processor “X-Processor 4” and the image stabilization mechanism. During adjustment, the stabilization system controls the smallest sensor movements to ensure high speed and precision autofocus. At the same time, the camera offers more accurate autofocus for face/eye detection than its predecessor, the GFX50S

High-strength magnesium alloy body with thickened body mount. In addition, it is protected against moisture and dust at 60 points, allowing you to shoot in difficult weather conditions, including temperatures down to -10 ° C.

The use of carefully designed IBIS block and shutter mechanism, coupled with an optimized layout of the various internal components has made the GFX50S II lightweight and compact: the camera weighs 900g and measures 150 x 104 x 86mm
