Digital system camera LUMIX DMC-GF5: instead of birdie the assistant flies out of the camera

Panasonic introduces the newest addition to the LUMIX G Micro System family, the LUMIX DMC-GF5 digital system camera. Despite having a built-in flash, the DMC-GF5 is an incredibly compact camera that delivers outstanding image quality at high light sensitivities. 1. Renewed Live MOS sensor and Venus Engine image processor

The DMC-GF5 is equipped with a new 12.1 megapixel Live MOS sensor, Panasonic engineers have optimized both the photodiodes and the signal readout system, ensuring minimal noise at high sensitivities. So you can enjoy superb images even at ISO 12,800.

Considerable improvements have also been made to the Venus Engine image processor, with 3DNR 3D Noise Reduction and MNR Multi-process Noice Reduction technology to achieve minimal noise in highlights and shadows.

2. Improved autofocus system

The DMC-GF5 features a contrast AF system that brings the subject in close proximity to the camera. In 0.09 sec* it’s easy to shoot fast-moving subjects. Contrast AF is faster than phase AF, and also more accurate than phase AF.

4. New touch screen with 920000 dots resolution

The new 3-inch 920000-dot touch screen has an exceptional image quality. The menus have also been redesigned to make it even easier to operate the camera.

Once you specify a subject for the focus system, the camera will track all of its movements through tracking autofocus. A dedicated button on the camera body lets you instantly start recording video right from photo mode. And Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator technology provides the highest quality audio recording.

*The maximum continuous AVCHD movie recording time is 29 minutes and 59 seconds, and the file size cannot exceed 4GB.
