Canon expands its series of professional reference displays with the launch of a 31-inch 4K DV-V3120 with HDR support. Delivers 2,000 cd/m² brightness, 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, superior image fidelity and uniformity, wide color gamut and advanced HDR monitoring capabilities. The DP-V3120 is the perfect reference display for professional HDR photography and video.
Full-screen brightness of 2,000 cd/m² and contrast of 2,000,000:1
Thanks to Canon’s latest backlight system the DP-V3120 display offers a full-screen brightness of 2000 cd/m². High-performance LEDs with precise control algorithm and advanced image processing system enable black coverage with minimum brightness of 0.001 cd/m² and impressive contrast of 2,000,000:1, so that details in both shadowed and brightly lit areas are faithfully rendered. Thanks to a new cooling system, the display is able to maintain high brightness with minimal noise, making it ideal for color correction. In addition, special sensors and smart auto-correction technology ensure accurate display during operation.
Archived production requirements
With support for gamma 2 standards.2, 2.4, 2.6 and ITU BT.1886 as well as HDR electro-optical transmission EOTF SMPTE ST.2084 and ITU-R BT.2100 HLG , the DP-V3120 also works with BT wide color spaces.2020 and DCI-P3. At the same time it has accurate and stable color reproduction, satisfying the requirements of both SDR and HDR video production.
The DP-V3120’s features, including overall monitor performance and grayscale transfer, exceed the requirements of the Dolby Vision standard . In doing so, Canon once again proves its ability to support efficient production of highly¬ of high-quality visual HDR content and meet different content production needs.
Advanced functionality and usability
The DP-V3120 comes with a variety of advanced monitoring features: convenient visualization of HDR signal parameters, such as Reference white, signal levels and image brightness, provides precise signal adjustment and boosts overall performance of 4K and HDR content. The DP-V3120 provides 12G-SDI interface and supports 4K image transmission over a single SDI cable. With four 12G-SDI ports, the display can simultaneously output four different 4K input signals with screen sharing or with sequential switching between them. They also allow a single 8K input signal to be processed.
The DP-V3120 supports the latest video payload identifier to identify signal transfer characteristics and automatic settings that enable automatic switching between picture modes. In addition, the display can be controlled remotely via a local network – with full access to menus, settings and connections to other monitors, as well as display parameters and signal information.
