Image quality is a revelation for those used to compact, fixed-lens cameras. Inside the A3500 is a large 20.1-megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. Combined with the expanding range of interchangeable E lenses, it is the key to impeccably detailed images, from portraits and street scenes to gorgeous landscapes. Equally impressive is Full HD video, for which you can use 50i or 25p shooting modes for high-definition action or smooth “real cinema,” depending on what your vision calls for.

The larger sensor also increases sensitivity, capturing more light and removing image noise, meaning pristine photo and video quality when shooting at dusk or in poorly lit interiors, where the tiny sensor on your compact camera or smartphone often fails.

Simply a pleasure to frame your shots with the Tru-Finder electronic viewfinder with 100% frame coverage. The viewfinder also displays a variety of additional information, including a grid line to help align the image horizontally. Instant preview of exposure changes and white balance lets you compose your shots in even more detail.

As your confidence grows, add accessories with the Multi Interface Shoe to further expand your creative capabilities. Unlike conventional point-and-shoot cameras, the A3500 gives you creative freedom with the extensive family of interchangeable E-lenses from Sony and Carl Zeiss. Choose any lens from telephoto, wide-angle and macro to versatile zoom lenses for travel photography or everyday shooting. The camera comes with a standard E 18-50mm F4-5.6 zoom lens, which was designed specifically for the A3500 E 18-50mm F4-5.6 lens not sold separately .
