Zurab Kiknadze, manager of Nikon Europe, notes:

“Traditionally, lenses with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 have been designed for professionals, but the optical advantages of the Z mount allow the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 at a more affordable price. We are pleased to see that more and more photographers are taking their skills to the next level by using the capabilities of lenses with a large constant aperture.”.

Lightweight and sharp, the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lets you shoot anything that inspires you. The versatile zoom range covers the classic focal lengths, while the fixed aperture of f/2.8 gives more freedom to explore new ideas: users can easily capture the atmosphere of dimly lit rooms or experiment with shallow depth of field. They can also shoot with shorter shutter speeds in all lighting conditions and capture motion without sacrificing brightness.

With an optical design of 15 elements in 12 groups, including 1 Super-ED glass element, 1 ED glass element and 3 aspherical elements, this fast zoom lens offers high detail and color saturation, and reduces distortion even when shooting wide-angle.

The lens focuses smoothly, quietly and accurately, even when shooting at close distances. The lens’ fast autofocus system syncs perfectly with the Nikon Z’s eye detection AF, so you don’t lose focus in portraits.

NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2 lens.8 does a great job with macro photography. Minimum focus distance 0.19 m at a focal length of 28 mm allows you to create close-ups with stunning wide-angle perspective. When shooting at a focal length of 75 mm, the minimum focus distance is 0.39m, allowing you to emphasize the finest details of your subject. Bokeh at close range is especially pronounced and makes pictures really exciting. This full-frame Z-line lens is also well-suited for video shooting. Its zoom range lets you shoot wide and medium shots, and there’s virtually no focus breathing.

The lens is protected against dust and water droplets, and its coating is easy to clean. Want to shoot wide angle shots from a low point or capture a cityscape in rainy weather? Take action without thinking twice!
