A mini review of the Canon LV-8235 UST multimedia ultra-short-focus DLP projector

Launched in 2011, the LV-8235 UST makes the LV-8235 stand out from other LV series models. Canon’s first ultra-short throw projector, and the first in the brand’s DLP range.

Multimedia ultra-short throw DLP projector

The LV-8235 UST’s mirror optics achieve ultra-short throw distances of between 22mm and 45.5cm. The device can be installed almost right up to the screen or whiteboard including interactive one , so even people standing close to it will not be caught by the light beam. 2500 ANSI-Lm luminous flux allows for high ambient light environments like conference rooms, classrooms etc. d. Built-in 10 watt speaker. Thanks to the matrix with WXGA resolution the unit is able to project HD-quality files and display content from widescreen notebooks with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It can also display 3D images.

The LV-8235 UST automatically detects the active input and corrects keystone distortion itself when the body is tilted vertically. If there’s no screen in the room, the unit is ready to project to a green board or even a wall – just select a wall tint from the menu list and it will correct the colors itself for a better picture.

With the projector hanging from the ceiling, keeping track of it is not easy. To make the control over the device easier, the model provides the possibility of control and diagnostics via LAN-network.

The case is designed in such a way that it is easy to put in the projector-

vertically. In this position, the unit will project the image from above on a table or from below through a transparencies.

The LV-8235 comes with preset image modes, but you can also customise and store up to four different user modes if you prefer.

The projector is equipped with anti-theft features like Kensington port and chain lock.
