Handle is made of natural corkwood. It feels warm and feels good. Cork will also adjust to your hand’s anatomy over time, so your hand won’t strain or tire while ironing.

The copper boiler is sure to last a long time, it is more resistant to the vagaries of hard water, typical for our country, so you can not worry about leaks. But there is a “but” – the opaque walls do not allow you to control the water level, which makes it difficult to refill: because you never know how much water is left in the boiler.

The only help is a lack of water indicator, if the red button lights up, it means it’s time to fill the boiler.

CONTROL

It is quite simple. Once the system is plugged in, the two controls on the body must be turned on, they are equipped with light indicators. After about 10 minutes the steam ready indicator lights up and you can start ironing

Steam button is located on the handle just under your thumb. It has two positions: you can press it while ironing, or you can clamp it by pressing and turning the knob down, and then steam will flow continuously during operation. Not to say that this position of the button and the way of switching is the most convenient, it took some time to get used to it.

There is practically no noise during the preparation for work, the system is very quiet. Only the indicators tell you that the steam generator is on. Also, the top panel of the boiler is slightly hot, which also shows the preparation of the system.

This steam generator stunned me! Ironing with it is a fast action, easy and pleasant. The appliance understands much more about putting things in order than I do. My hand literally could not keep up with the iron. One touch allows you to iron a piece of fabric. I recommend starting the process with ironing linens to get used to the speed that gives this system.

The soleplate of the iron glides very, very easily. It is really possible, as in commercials, to catch the iron at one end of the ironing board by pushing it a little

All in all, the system can satisfy any professional.

The iron is capable of ironing a quadruple folded duvet cover, t.e. Ironed 8 layers of over-dried sateen at once.

Steam easily passes through 4 layers of terry towels, making them softer and fluffier after ironing.

For vertical ironing the iron is not suitable: it is very heavy, so the manufacturers suggest buying an additional steam iron, which is connected to the same steam generator. Price of the accessory – 3 600 Dollars.

CARING

The manufacturer does not make you pour out the rest of the water after every ironing, recommends doing it once a month to rinse the boiler. But the recommendations “to shake the boiler a few times” are a little straining – the boiler is fixed and heavy, so it is better to involve the stronger half of mankind to this operation.

No descaling tips. There is an indication that you should use distilled or filtered water and that you can not add any chemicals to the boiler. The ideal, of course, is distilled water, it is its use that will allow you to operate the system for a long time without worrying about the work. But this means additional expense and hassle of acquiring it. The filters can only guarantee soft water if they are used properly. The manufacturer has commented that: The steam generator was originally developed for the Italian market, and there are no problems with water hardness in Italy. But, as practice in America has shown, there are no problems when using filters .

GENERAL IMPRESSIONS

Professionalism is the definition that comes to mind when assessing this system. Even its appearance sets the steam generator in a serious mood. You can see that this is not a toy, not a cheap plastic device, but a serious device, designed to solve differently complex problems.

High steam pressure is felt. This is evidenced by the result of the functionality test: 8 layers of the duvet cover are truly ironed in a single touch. We just had to make sure that all the layers were smooth, otherwise the “arrows” from the iron could remain on the lower ones.

The soleplate glides great, especially when ironing with steam. It is worth feeling – how it easily “flies” on the fabric.

It is worth noting that the iron in this system is quite heavy. It is true that you can feel it when ironing, thanks to the great sliding soleplate, but when you lift and lower the iron, you can feel its weight. This left a double impression. On the one hand, a heavy iron is a sign of reliability, good quality and excellent materials. Many people like heavy irons, as well as heavy dishes, considering the weight as one of the main signs of quality. Irons with thick soles are often used in professional environments ateliers, tailoring, etc.d. , because it is easier to iron rough seams, seam allowances, iron out wool and drape clothes. Solid metal soleplate heats up better, an important plus when ironing multiple layers.

On the other hand, it is still easier to work with a lightweight iron. So this feature of the system is another advantage for some, but for others it is a disadvantage.

A separate word deserves and electric cord: it is very strong, three-core. Both the cord and the water hose are very long. This gives more freedom of placement when ironing, and the iron can work far enough away from the steam generator.

Now about the things I did not like very much.

The main drawback for me is the inability to control the water level in the boiler. You could, of course, not refill the water every time you turn the system on, but iron until the water runs out. The tank is empty – the lack of water indicator lights up.

Another limitation is the long preparation time. 10 minutes is not very long in the evening, but in the morning, when everyone is in a hurry and you urgently need to iron, for instance, a blouse, this time may seem excruciatingly long.

It is not recommended to pour tap water into the system: you must use either filtered or distilled water. In principle, there are filters in almost every apartment, but our water is very hard, and to monitor the condition of the filters should be constantly. It is more reliable to use distilled water, but this is an unnecessary expense. From this point of view, the lack of ability to clean the system from scale is a disadvantage.

To date, the system is not very widely available on sale, it can only be bought in specialized stores or over the Internet.
