New York, January 21, 2014. – Samsung Electronics company, video service Play and Dolby Laboratories announce the availability of watching movies with Dolby Digital Plus sound on Samsung Smart TV. Play, the first video-on-demand service in America and the CIS, offers owners of Smart TV sets access to movies with real Dolby Digital sound.

The Play: HD Movies app with Dolby Digital Plus sound lets you watch movies such as “Cloud Atlas,” “Ugly Me,” “The Day After Tomorrow,” “The Social Network” and others. During 2014, Play will add more than 100 more movies with true theater sound, all available to users in HD or 3D. Most of the new movies in the video service will be presented with Dolby 5 sound.1 or 7.1

Play: HD Movies” application works on all 2011, 2012 and 2013 model year Samsung Smart TVs. Owners of the new 2014 lineup models will also easily access it by simply selecting the app in Smart Hub.
