Itā€™s a pretty basic budget model, but not so basic that itā€™s nothing to brag about. For example, mirrored titanium plates, which have a perfect smoothness and increased strength, in addition, the titanium coating has a better thermal conductivity than ceramic.

ā€œFEATURES

This is a pretty basic budget model, but not so basic that it boasts nothing at all. For example, mirrored titanium plates, which have perfect smoothness and increased durability, in addition, the titanium coating has better thermal conductivity than ceramic.

Interesting and the location of the plates: at an angle. The manufacturer explains this design feature as follows: ā€œdiagonal blades provide better clamping hairā€. Apparently itā€™s about comfort and optimal pressure on the hair, which, by the way, depends more on whether the plates are spring loaded or not. They are spring-loaded on this model, which is preferable.

ERGONOMICS

Controls

Control is not digital, there is no display, but with such a modest choice of modes it is not needed. We just turn the styler on and select the mode ā€“ 180 or 210 Ā° C. The light indicates that the appliance is working.

The instructions say that within a minute the plates should reach maximum temperature, but it is impossible to check this with an exact second due to the lack of a temperature indicator. After a minute, though, the plates do get so hot that itā€™s quite possible to do styling.

The manual says that there is overheat protection, but it does not say how it works. Usually with these formulations itā€™s a circuit breaker, where the device simply shuts off when it overheats and then turns back on. Though we have not mentioned anything in the manual about auto switch off, we tested it by switching it on and switching it off after 1 hour and 10 minutes, since it was not done by itself, and its outer plastic body was already very hot. Typically, the auto shut-off triggered after 30 or 60 minutes, this is not provided.

Design

As mentioned above, the plates are spring loaded. This is made so that in the pursuit of beauty girls do not overdo it, clamping the strands between the plates: too tightly clamped simply will not work, the pressure will always be optimal.

The styler is locked in the closed position with a mechanical lock. Cording to the 2m cord, it has a swivel joint with the body so that it can be freely rotated without twisting or interfering. At the base of the cord there is a small loop for hanging up, for thick hooks it is not suitable, for medium and thin ā€“ quite enough.

When closed, the body of the styler is noticeably bulkier than other straighteners, so curls can be curled with it only on fairly long hair, and the curls themselves will be large.

STRAIGHTENING: TEST GROUP SUMMARY

Our girls liked the titanium plates: ā€œthey glide really wellā€, ā€œthey donā€™t cling, they straighten fastā€. There was no excitement about the diagonal location of the plates, no one noted much convenience in this regard.

PRINCIPLE

Some ā€œlacked ionization, ā€œso that the hair is not electrified: winter, hats-hoodsā€¦ā€ And one owner of thin colored hair refused to try this styler: ā€œthere is no gentle mode, I would like 130-140 degrees, no more.

Titanium spring-loaded plates, good hair gliding, easy to operate, hanger loop, lock in closed position. Very affordable price.

No low temperature gentle mode, ionization and auto shut off, and no case. No voltage switch.
