The FixPro mechanical locking system is a special feature that locks the pliers in the locked position. It’s hard to say how much of a “chip” this is and how reliable this fixture is. But indeed, in our previous straightener test in 2012 there were cases where the mechanical clamps broke. If this system is tougher than usual – praise be to it, but we did not try to break it on purpose during the test.

Control
The device is quite affordable, and usually from such budget models do not expect much. But the control system makes this straightener a worthy competitor to the products of brands-specialists in the field of hair care. The temperature can be adjusted to within a degree, the process is displayed on the LED display, and what is just great – there is an auto-off after 1 hour . But there is no voltage switching. Too bad!
PREDICTION!
Our agronomists have expressed the wish that “such a beautiful inexpensive hair straightener added function to memorize the last setting, otherwise every time from 60 ° C have to push the button “+” in increments of 1 ° C to raise it to the desired value”. In principle, it is not long, but you have to clamp the button “+” and wait 15 seconds.
The ion generator turns on at the same time as the straightener, which is very convenient. Its operation is indicated by a slight crackling sound, this is normal.
Nowhere in the manual does it say what the heating time of the plates is. We checked this by assuming a “working temperature” of 130°C. Result -39 seconds. Not bad, the normal average.

STRAIGHTENING: A SUMMARY OF THE TEST GROUP
Our girls did not use the lowest temperatures, preferring modes from 130 ° C and above. One person with very stiff hair said she didn’t feel she was getting enough heat at 190°C – she was not happy with the straightening results. But everyone else had no complaints. And the gliding of hair was unanimously praised as excellent.
Precise temperature control to within a degree, very gentle modes, display, comfortable design, ionization, auto-off – almost a complete package of pleasures for a very reasonable price.
