Especially bought quite tough beef to test the statement that the slow cooker can cope with tough meat. In the container put a lot of chopped vegetables: beans, carrots, onions, tomatoes, bell peppers then chopped medium slices of beef, mushrooms.

Poured everything with boiling water, salted it, added spices, closed the lid. We set the time – 5 hours and “high” cooking mode, then the device began to work.

The body of the slow cooker heated up quickly, but inside the pot for the first hour there was almost nothing going on. The liquid started to boil after about three hours of the appliance, another two hours later the dish was ready.

The main difference from cooking on the stove: the vegetables are not boiled, remain neat, and almost retain their color. The meat is soft and tasty. – OK!

TIP: add spices at the end of cooking so that their flavor remains bright.

2. “Rice pudding

Seeing such an English dish in the enclosed instructions, we decided to cook it in a slow cooker by all means. We put 75g of round rice, 50g of sugar, poured 1l of milk in a container, stirred and topped with butter and a sprinkle of grated nutmeg.

We closed the lid, set the “high” mode and the time – 3 hours. After an hour, we stirred the contents of the bowl. In three hours we had rice soup! It was delicious, it was thick but it was a soup, not a pudding! – UNEXPECTED!

3. “Chicken platter with lemon sauce

Multicookers

A whole chicken weighing 800 grams with lemon inside, covered with spices and mayonnaise, was put in a bowl and vegetables were placed around it: cauliflower, potatoes, sweet pepper, carrots, onions 3.

Pour soy sauce over everything, add boiling hot water and close lid. Set the time – 3 hours and “high” cooking mode. After three hours the appliance went into automatic keep warm mode.

The chicken was very soft, it was not even needed to cut it – it fell apart into separate pieces by itself. The meat was soaked with lemon during this time and the sourness was very good. The vegetables were not enough, we could have put more – they were so fragrant and delicious, they were eaten with great pleasure! – OK!

TIP: add more vegetables, they are especially tasty.

4. “Perlovaya porridge with meat”

Kenwood

After reading that the slow cooker is particularly good barley porridge, we could not deny ourselves the pleasure of trying to cook this undeservedly forgotten by many products.

Put washed cereals into the jug. Pour the water, add salt, close the lid. We set the time – 5 hours and “high” cooking mode. About an hour before end of cooking time put meat stew in porridge.

The porridge was delicious! The pearl barley really swelled up and cooked perfectly. All the employees remembered their childhood and pioneer camps and tasted the porridge with great pleasure. – BEAUTIFUL!

TIP: such porridge can also treat guests – gather your childhood friends, prepare old photos. And the pearl porridge helps to recreate the atmosphere of the past.
