The result of the dough

Did not disappoint, all three test loaves of bread turned out well. Note the very fine-pored crumb in all recipes, which is achieved by painstaking kneading, and the top crust is not as ruddy the large window gives you heat loss . This can be corrected by adding a couple of spoons of powdered milk to the batter.

The white bread photo 1 was not quite simple: the recipe includes butter in the dough, resulting in a delicate crumb with a noble flavor, crispy crust. The loaf is baked and browned on the sides, but the top, as you can see, remains pale.

The loaf according to Zelmer recipe photo 2 rose vigorously and baked well. Delicious, especially thanks to the nuts and raisins.

White bread with onions photo 3 – tender crumb had a specific flavor. The perfect accompaniment to soups!

Functionality

Programs: 8 programs – basic, quick baking, sweet baking, French loaf, yeast-free bread, plain flour bread, dough, baking. The basic program for white bread takes 3 hours, the cooking of a loaf of wallpaper flour is 40 minutes longer, the mode begins with heating the components.

This mode can be used for rye bread, the manufacturer recommends to give preference to recipes on sourdough. The French bread mode is even longer: 3 hours and 50 minutes. It makes it possible to have soft, “fluffy” crumb and thin crust baked goods.

If you don’t have enough time, you can select a shortened “Quick Baking” mode – that’s only 2 hours and 20 minutes. In about 1 hour and 50 minutes it is possible to make sourdough bread e.g. with leavening agents or baking soda.

The device allows you to make yeast dough, a full cycle has a standard duration of 1.5 hours.

The function of jam, which became almost mandatory for bread baking machines, is absent here. For some people it is a minus, for others, on the contrary, the absence of an unnecessary additional program.

Special features: the longest pause in the kneading process. The process begins with a 10-minute cycle, firstly, the machine kneads jerkily so that the ingredients have time to soak in the liquid, then there is an intensive, even kneading.

The next step is the pause, which lasts for 20 minutes, during which the heating mode will start. And after that another 15 minute step. Approximately on the fortieth minute the signal to add additional ingredients nuts, dried fruits sounds.

Loaf: 500, 750 and 1000 grams.

The bucket: allows to make bread in the form of a brick inner dimensions 183x137x130 mm . Very nice, in the classic tradition. The loaf in this bucket does not turn out as attractive as I would like it to, but the shape does not affect the taste. The bucket has a bluish non-stick coating.

Operation: touch panel. The display is not large, not very easy to read. The indication is not very convenient. When selecting a program, it is immediately indicated by a number according to the American-language list on the panel , and the color of the crust by a letter, but after a moment the display lights up the duration and this will be its main indicator.

To refine the program, it is necessary to press the menu button, and then it will reappear very briefly on the screen. No loaf size selection. No indication of the program step.

Baking mode is activated for one hour only. The timer gives a delayed end of program for 13 hours.

The device allows us to turn off the buzzer, if this is necessary, for example, if you do not want to disturb a sleeping baby.

Comfort

The bucket in the oven sits quite high, so it is definitely not necessary to lift the lid in the process. The bucket is fixed with two clips on the sides of the chamber. The machine makes a noise while kneading, moderate noise to our senses. Approximately 3 points, on our subjective scale.

The lid is hinged at a distance of about 120 degrees. It feels a little loose. The window, to monitor baking, is large.

The device turned out to be the lightest among the participants of the test – a little more than five kilograms, and it will be more comfortable to transport than others. All the more so because the special finger indentations made on both sides of the bottom of the case help to do this. The model is equipped with the longest of the presented ones, the electric cord, which expands the possibilities of the user in choosing the place for the device in the kitchen.

Care: the inside of the oven hardly ever got dirty, so no hassle. The plastic exterior doesn’t require much effort to keep it clean, either. Buttonless control panel cleans in one step.

Power cord: Leads out to the right, length 1.6 cm.

Instructions: not very good. It’s a bit hard to figure out how the appliance works and how home baking “works” in general from the get-go. But for experienced users this is no problem. Recipes in the manual are not many, not very convenient that the references to the programs in them are in English, although the panel they are in American.

There are obvious misunderstandings in the instructions, for example, the comments on baking rye bread say that the recipes given use dry sourdough concentrate, but there are no recipes for rye bread and bread on sourdough in the text.

Aesthetics

The model is a budget one, and even without looking at the price tag, you will know it at first glance – the plastic is not very well processed along the edges, the control panel is not very comfortably “arranged”. Model is clearly designed for those who just need a baker, but not a striking piece of interior.
