FILLING OF THE WATER BASIN: The water basin is removable, reversible, i.e. there must be at least 15 cm clearance between the coffee maker and the wall or other appliance to allow the water basin to be removed without obstruction. However, you should take it out only for a thorough rinsing, because there is a small “hatch” on the top of the device, covered with a lid, through which you can pour water.

There are also some limitations: the cup must not exceed 7 cm in height, which is correct for espresso, but might be inconvenient for the American consumer, who prefers wrongly large cups.
