BRAVIA OLED A1 Series TVs blow your mind at first sight. And when you activate the Acoustic Surface™ it’s impossible to remain indifferent: the sound emanating from the entire surface of the screen, you can not only hear, but also feel, putting your hand to the display. In addition, the sound travels with the object on the screen, creating a sense of presence.

BRAVIA OLED TVs bring a whole new level of viewing experience to your living room – a combination of a high quality display, the X1™ Extreme processor, a unique sound system and an ingenious design that fits into just about any modern interior. The A1 Series TVs feature an OLED display with over 8 million self-luminous organic LEDs. It delivers amazingly realistic color reproduction including unprecedented deep black and a wide viewing angle, so you can enjoy great images from anywhere in the room.

Video technology

The X1 Extreme processor manages a huge array of pixels with precision and extends the capabilities of the OLED display, improving 4K HDR picture transfer. It analyzes and processes every element on the screen in real time to improve color gamut, realism, contrast and rich textures of the image.

The X1 Extreme processor takes OLED screen picture quality to an impressive new level by using two new databases: one database is responsible for accurate and precise noise reduction, the other for detail and image scaling. The effect of the processor is particularly noticeable when showing blacks that look really deep, even with low quality video inputs.

The processor is also actively used to tackle image retention and burn-in. For example, it helps to analyze and adjust the brightness level of the screen to the desired level when you’re watching a long static picture, as well as certain elements, such as logos.

BRAVIA OLED TVs support all versions of HDR: HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG Hybrid log-Gamma and Youtube HDR*.

Sound on BRAVIA OLED A1 Series TVs comes from the screen, not the speakers. The Acoustic Surface™ technology transmits sound throughout the whole plane of the screen. Power actuators on the back of the TV that cause sonic vibrations broadcast sound across the entire display surface, while bass frequency transmission is supported by a subwoofer built into the stand. So the picture and the sound are perceived as a whole. Plus, the sound moves with your subject on the screen, creating a sense of presence.

Video equipment

The BRAVIA OLED design is another highlight: thanks to the Acoustic Surface Technology, the usual loudspeakers are not routinely located on the cabinet contour, so you can now enjoy your BRAVIA OLEDs without worrying about their speakers. The result is a unique, one-piece form factor without the traditional TV stand, so nothing distracts you from what’s on screen. The TV can be placed on a table or a shelf, or hung on the wall.

BRAVIA OLED TVs powered by Android TV™. Now it’s up to you to choose which apps and games to download from the Google Play™ store, and which movies and TV shows to watch. Enjoy easy control of your Android TV. You can easily transfer content from your smartphone or tablet to your TV with Chromecast.

Tap the Cast icon to send what you’re watching – like movies or TV shows, YouTube videos, photos, and hundreds of other compatible apps – to your Android/iOS mobile device on your big screen BRAVIA TV, with no loss of quality.

Video technology

And you can still use your smartphone. Say what you’re looking for and Android TV™ will find it – Voice Search is now available on your standard remote. Just press the “Voice” button and say what you’re interested in movies, TV shows and other content , or ask BRAVIA to change channels, switch inputs, etc. d. A whole new world of entertainment opens up before you with a Sony Android TV™-powered TV.
