Sigma has announced the release of three new cine lenses with 28mm, 40mm and 105mm focal lengths and a maximum aperture of T1.5. The lenses will join the FF High Speed Prime lineup and will be designed to work with full-frame cameras.
FF High Speed Prime lineup expands to 10 models, with new focal lengths and a maximum aperture of T1.5. Features of the new lenses include a 9-blade aperture, as well as support for 85mm diameter filters in 28mm and 40mm focal length models. The lenses will be available for Canon EF, Sony E and PL mounts, as well as for the “Large Positive Lock” LPL mount used in the Arri
First among the announced lenses will be the 105mm T1.5 FF, which will become available in October 2018 at a price of £ 4749 for the standard version and £ 5,649 for the fluorescent-illuminated version. The 40mm T1 will be available in late 2018.5 FF, and in early 2019, 28mm T1.5 FF.
All lenses will be on display for test shooting at IBC 2018, which takes place in Amsterdam from Sept. 14-18.
These new cinema lenses from Sigma sound intriguing, but I’m curious about their key features and compatibility with different camera systems. Can anyone provide more information on their specifications, image quality, and which cameras they are designed to work with? Additionally, are there any notable improvements or unique elements in these lenses that set them apart from other competitors in the market? Appreciate any insights or recommendations!
