On September 25th, SIGMA unveiled five new lenses, in advance of Photokina, the world’s largest photographic exhibition. The Art lineup is now expanded with a fast wide-angle prime lens and a cinema lens, Contemporary is a compact lens for mirror-less cameras, Sports is the world’s first tenx zoom telephoto lens with a 600mm focal length, and a fast telezoom for professionals. Estimated start of sales of the new lenses in February 2019.
SIGMA 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art – best-in-class bright wide-angle prime lens
The lens provides best-in-class performance with an optical design comprised of two FLD “F” LowDispersion and three SLD SpecialLowDispersion elements. The design of the optics corrects chromatic aberrations and other optical distortions. The lens is an excellent choice for street photography, as well as for shooting landscapes and the night sky.
