Samsung Electronics introduces the Galaxy Fold smartphone, a foldable device that opens up a whole new category of mobile devices. The Galaxy Fold features the world’s first Infinity Flex Display 7.3-inch bendable, frameless screen, which allows the smartphone to fold into a compact device. Galaxy Fold opens up a whole new user experience and great multitasking possibilities for users.

Smartphone and tablet in one device
Galaxy Fold introduces a category of devices in its own right. When unfolded, the device is a smartphone with the largest screen to date. The Galaxy Fold embodies the innovations in materials, design and display technology that Samsung has been building for eight years since the first Samsung flexible screen prototype was released in 2011.
New display materials: the inner screen of the smartphone is not only flexible. It folds up. The folding screen is the result of years of development and innovation. Samsung has created a new polymer layer and developed a screen that is almost half as thin as ordinary smartphone screens. New material makes the Galaxy Fold flexible, strong and durable.
Innovative hinge mechanism: Galaxy Fold opens smoothly and naturally, like a book. Innovative connection module makes it easy to fold into a flat, compact device. The module, hidden inside the smartphone’s stylish body, securely protects the internal display and bending mechanism, ensuring smooth operation even during the most intensive use.
New design elements: Samsung pays maximum attention to every detail, every element you see or touch, from the screen to the case. A fingerprint scanner placed on the side of the body, just where your thumb is normally located when holding the device, allows you to unlock the smartphone with ease. Available in Space Silver, Cosmos Black, Martian Green and Astro Blue, the smartphone’s engraved Samsung logo on the hinge complements the elegant design.
A whole new experience
When designing the Galaxy Fold, Samsung engineers strived to consider all the needs of today’s smartphone owners and meet the demand for devices in large and convenient form factors. The device allows you to resize the screen whenever you want.
To make calls and answer texts simply take the phone out of your pocket and use the touch screen on the front of the phone cover display , and when you want to work with several applications at the same time, or enlarge the image to view presentations, e-magazines, movies or augmented reality content you can open the device and use the largest display.
The unique user interface designed especially for the Galaxy Fold opens up new possibilities to fully exploit the smartphone’s potential:
Multiple windows support: The smartphone allows you to keep up to three active applications open at the same time, whether you need it for work, gaming, or publishing content. With the new interface, the user can scroll through the latest Amazon Prime Video offerings, explore reviews and reviews, invite friends to join the viewing experience by sending a link to the trailer via messenger, all on one screen.
Integrated dual-screen support: The interface makes it easy to switch from the outer screen to the inner screen and vice versa. When opening and closing the Galaxy Fold, apps are automatically displayed on the screen the user is working with.
