Samsung Electronics revealed its plans for 2017 during a press conference at the International Consumer Electronics Show CES 2017. The company will continue to work on implementing a large number of innovations designed to improve comfort and make it easier for users to communicate, work and play. Among the major new products presented at the exhibition: the latest line of QLED TVs, FlexWash™ + FlexDry™ washing system and the first Samsung gaming laptop. With these innovations, Samsung is solidifying its leadership in exploring new technologies that meet the urgent needs of users who want more personalized and intuitive digital experiences.

Samsung QLED – a new era of television
Having made incredible progress in the development of quantum dot technology, Samsung has unveiled the Q8C 75-inch QLED TV, which uses a new metal alloy to deliver the highest brightness and color fidelity available in today’s displays. The result is a brilliant, widescreen QLED TV with stunningly sharp and lifelike images from all viewing angles, in all lighting conditions.
Samsung QLED TVs take quantum dot technology to new heights with improved backlight stability and efficiency and wide color gamut. The new TVs are capable of displaying detail in deep shadows, are guaranteed to display 100% DCI color space and brightness in the 1500-2000 nits range.
Thanks to the new design of the panel Samsung QLED TVs reduce the reflection of light from the screen, allowing you to enjoy all the richness of detail scenes. Finally, all these outstanding features are available to the viewer, regardless of the distance and angle of view.
New design elements offered by Samsung in QLED TVs enhance the experience of watching movies and programs. Virtually invisible optical cable helps solve the problem of tangled wires often found near televisions. Optional accessories include a mount that makes it quick and easy to mount the TV up against the wall. For those who prefer other installation options, there are two new sleek, designer-designed Gravity and Studio stands.
In addition to the premiere of the new TVs, Samsung revealed plans to improve various services and devices. Last year’s hit service, Samsung One Remote, has received support for a larger number of devices and voice control of many Smart TV functions. The Samsung SmartView app, available on Android and iOS, allows you to get a personalized SmartHub page right on your smartphone screen, and set up notifications when new shows show up, even when your TV is off.
Another new addition to the 2017 Smart TV portfolio is the Samsung Sports service. It helps you not to miss an interesting match thanks to flexible notifications based on user preferences and partnerships with major sports TV providers.

Samsung’s 2017 audio-visual product lineup also included a Soundbar Sound+ stereo system with a built-in subwoofer, H7 Wireless Audio speakers and the latest UHD Blu-ray player. FlexWash + FlexDry
To expand your home laundry options, Samsung offers FlexWash™ + FlexDry™ washer and dryer kits. 142 liter, front-loading FlexWash™ washing machines have one of the highest capacities in their class, and easily handle both normal and heavy loads. The machine has an extra 28 liter washing compartment on the top for washing smaller items separately from the main wash. Both compartments can operate independently of each other with different wash settings.
The FlexDry™ dryer can handle heavy loads while gently drying small amounts of delicate fabrics in the overhead compartment. With a special compartment that automatically adjusts temperature based on fabric type, the dryer can dry a tracksuit and a silk scarf at the same time.
Signaling a willingness to develop areas where the company’s expertise and innovation can enrich and simplify people’s lives, Samsung has also introduced a range of models of built-in appliances. These include new combo microwave ovens, advanced dishwashers and a line of premium refrigerators.

During the press conference, Samsung also announced the launch of a new generation of popular Family Hub 2 refrigerators.0. Built on the Family Hub 1 models.0, the Family Hub 2 line of refrigerators.0 expanded from 4 to 10 models, giving users the flexibility to choose the appliance that best suits their household needs.
The second-generation Family Hub refrigerators are more user-friendly with dedicated software and compatibility with new third-party apps to help families stay connected, manage grocery shopping and access additional entertainment features through a built-in 21.5-inch touchscreen display. Inspiring new mobile devices and computers
At CES 2017, Samsung unveiled a new generation of mobile computers, demonstrating the company’s commitment to exquisite design, quality finishes and a wealth of bundling options. This includes the Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro, a 15-inch Notebook 9 with a discrete graphics processor and Samsung’s first gaming laptop, dubbed the Odyssey.
The latest 15-inch Samsung Notebook 9 is designed for maximum performance and exceptional mobility Equipped with Intel’s 7th-generation Kaby Lake processor, it also features a discrete graphics processor, allowing it to handle intense workloads, from photo editing, to running programs on multiple monitors simultaneously.
Samsung Chromebook
Samsung Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro are premium convertible laptops designed specifically to run Chrome OS and are compatible with millions of apps from the Google Play Store. The new Chromebooks have thin but rugged all-metal housings and easily convert into tablets. They are also some of the first Chromebooks to come with a built-in stylus. The Chromebook Plus will feature an ARM processor, while the Chromebook Pro, aimed at users who need better performance, will feature an Intel core M3.
The latest, but no less interesting novelty from Samsung is the first gaming Samsung Notebook Odyssey, which combines mobility and compactness with the computing power of a desktop PC.
Samsung Notebook Odyssey
The laptop will be available in versions of 15 and 17 inches. The 15-inch Odyssey features an Intel Core i7 processor and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, up to 256GB of SSD storage, a dual hard drive and an NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics card. The 17-inch Odyssey will be announced in spring 2017.
For added convenience, Odyssey notebooks feature a special button for instant performance boost. With a single touch, users can overclock the laptop’s processor, graphics card and memory to get increased PC performance for demanding games.
