Reliable flash for wireless shooting in addition to the new OM-D E-M1X

Olympus expands its line-up of products for professional photographers with a new wireless weatherproof flash for all kinds of conditions. The FL-700WR electronic flash, FC-WR wireless commander and FR-WR wireless receiver will be available with the latest Olympus OM-D E-M1X professional camera in late February 2019.

FL-700WR: high intensity, weatherproof and a guide number of 42

A compact and lightweight flash with a guide number of 421 at ISO 100/m that is dustproof, splashproof and freezing2 and offers reliable operation in all kinds of shooting conditions, including rain in combination with the OM-D E-M1X and other Olympus weatherproof cameras and lenses . Flash can be recharged in approx. 1.5 seconds3, enabling continuous flash photography at 10 frames per second.

The flash can be controlled remotely even in very bright locations. Flash Range of up to 30 meters and can be positioned behind the subject.

FL-700WR can be used as a commander or flash unit with built-in receiver. As a commander, you can trigger three groups or an unlimited number of individual flashes. Users can choose which group to use and adjust flash compensation. The FL-700WR can also be used in normal RC optical communication mode as a slave flash.

Versatile shooting modes and advanced functions

Multi Flash Mode lets you express the movement of your subject by taking multiple exposures during long time exposures or when shooting with Bulb mode. Intensity, interval frequency and number of shots can be adjusted for ideal results depending on the subject.

Features such as High Res Shot6, Focus Stacking and Focus Bracketing are also compatible with this flash.

Additional features:

1 Super FP: allows high-speed synchronization.

2 First/Second Curtain Sync: Triggers when the curtain opens and closes.

3 TTL: The flash fires pre-flash to measure the desired intensity and the output is automatically adjusted to the optimum level.

4 LED video light: 77° angle of illumination, brightness of 100 lux, light range of 1m.

5 Rotation: rotation angle can be adjusted within 180° horizontally and 90° vertically.

6 Wide-angle lens: covers the focal length of 7mm.

7 Auto zoom: supported on lenses with focal lengths from 12mm to 75mm.

8 Charge completion indication: The FL-700WR flash unit emits an electronic sound when charging is complete.

FC-WR wireless commander and FR-WR wireless receiver : Maximum reliability and intuitive operation with unlimited flash output

The FC-WR commander can remotely control multiple flash units from the camera, allowing for successful remote flash photography. As with the FL-700WR, the dust, splash and low temperature -10°C resistant design allows it to be used in a variety of environments. The commander can be attached to three groups or an unlimited number of flashes.

The FC-WR has independent buttons for groups A, B and C, allowing you to quickly set the parameters for each group, as well as adjusting the shooting mode and flash intensity. Groups and channels can be easily set and tested on FC-WR and FR-WR.

Extra Features

1 Sync with FR-WR: can be used to connect studio flashes, such as a monoblock flash, which can then be triggered remotely.

2 Charge completion indication FR-WR: emits electronic sound when charging is complete.
