Flash for creative shooting ā€“ Canon launches SPEEDLITE 430EX III

Canon expands its EOS system with SPEEDLITE 430EX III. The new flash is designed to take your photography even further and replaces the Speedlite 430EX II in the range. It has a number of enhanced features including built-in radio control, opening up a world of creative lighting solutions for keen amateurs and professional EOS photographers alike.

New SPEEDLITE 430EX III is Canonā€™s most powerful mid-range Speedlite flashgun to date. A maximum guide number of 43 at ISO 100 gives enough power to light subjects in a variety of situations and can be used with optional flashes using radio or optical remote control signals. A customisable range of flash angles from 24 to 105mm from 14mm with built-in adaptor gives the SPEEDLITE 430EX III more control over the flash output.

The SPEEDLITE 430EX III is the perfect flash for creative photographers and lets you experiment with off-camera light sources. Can be set as a master or slave flash using Canonā€™s radio or optical flash control system. Itā€™s also compatible with cameras that have a Speedlite transmitter built in, including the EOS 760D and EOS 70D, which let you control the operation and output of the SPEEDLITE 430EX III off-camera flashgun directly via the camera menu.

New flash supports Canonā€™s highly flexible Radio Remote Control RT system. You can use up to five RT flash groups, each with up to 15 flashes, set at distances of up to 30 meters. The SPEEDLITE 430EX III can also be controlled by the Canon ST-E3-RT or Speedlite 600EX-RT, further enhancing shooting opportunities for professionals and keen amateurs.

SPEEDLITE 430EX III is a smaller size than its predecessor and can be used as a portable auxiliary light source. Quick and quiet recycling ensures the flash is ready for your next shot without interfering with your shooting. Tilt adaptor helps spread the light from the flash more gently and help provide more natural and pleasant lighting when shooting indoors.

An included orange filter lets you match or contrast the color of the flash to other light sources and a built-in reflector directs a small amount of light directly at the subject, helping to create expressive portraits. A newly redesigned dot matrix backlit LCD display makes it easy to control all settings and a multi-function control dial gives quick access to key settings.
