Panasonic updated the firmware of four Lumix cameras: DC-GH5 to version 2.4, DC-GH5S, DC-G9 and DC-GX9 to version 1.2. New firmware improves camera performance and fixes a number of bugs that cropped up.
Firmware version 2.4 for Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5. Major changes and improvements:
1. Improved AF performance
– There have been cases where the focus point has been shifted to the background, tracking the subject in AFC mode. New firmware minimizes this problem.
– There were cases where the focus point was shifted to the background when tracking a subject in movie mode. The new firmware minimizes this problem.
2. Improving Video Recording Performance
– [One Push AE] does not work when [SS Mode Gain Operation] is set to [ANGLE ISO] when shooting in Creative Video M mode. This bug has been fixed.
3. Fixed a timecode bug
– There have been instances where the timecode was reset when the battery was replaced. This bug has been fixed.
4.Improved PHOTO 4K PHOTO 6K performance
– There were cases when the intended frame was not cut out of the frame in 6K PHOTO 4K PHOTO. This bug has been fixed.
