The Novoflex ClassicBall series of tripod ball heads consists of the CB 2, CB 3 II and CB 5 II models, which can handle cameras up to 5, 8 and 12 kg, respectively. The ClassicBall can be used upside down as a panoramic head, with a built-in bubble level to help align the camera to the horizon.
A side lever is used to quickly lock the ball head in position, and a blue 5-position dial allows you to adjust the degree of clamping for smooth adjustment of the camera when shooting. The body has three U-shaped cutouts that allow you to tilt the camera sideways, forward or backward, as well as a scale with graduations for precise camera positioning when creating panoramas.
ClassicBall models are compatible with all common tripods and can also be paired with L-brackets, plates and quick-release mounts.
Price and availability
The ClassicBall tripod heads are available for order on the Novoflex website at $495 for the CB 2, $475 for the CB 3 II and $692 for the CB 5 II
