Fujifilm has updated the firmware for the GFX 50S medium format camera. The new firmware version adds support for the FUJINON GF 250mm F4 R LM OIS WR lens as well as a whole host of improvements to the camera.
Major changes and improvements:
1. Support for the new FUJINON GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR lens
2. Addition of “Flicker Reduction” function
-To improve the quality of indoor sports photography, the update allows users to suppress flicker in both photos and the display when shooting under fluorescent lighting and other similar light sources.
3. New enlarged and customizable indicators: “Large Indicator Mode.”
-The update will allow users to magnify indicators and fonts of information displayed in the viewfinder and/or LCD monitor. This update will also allow users to customize the location of information on the display.
4. Adding support for the Fn button for the “35mm Format Mode” function
-The update will allow users to assign “35mm Format Mode” to the Fn button to quickly change settings.
5. Improved compatibility with FUJIFILM X Acquire
-After connecting the camera to a computer via USB cable, “FUJIFILM X Acquire” allows users to back up restore camera settings to from a file. With “FUJIFILM X Acquire” ver.1.7 or newer CUSTOM REGISTRATION EDIT settings will also be stored and read.
