Innovations in Philips monitors at IFA 2015

  • The first Philips curved display
  • From super-sharp 5K resolution to the latest Quantum Dot Color monitors
  • Innovations for work and life

One of the key innovations will be the first in Philips’ product line of 34-inch curved monitor, creating the effect of presence. The user is right in the middle of the action, so he has a better sense of the workspace and can fully concentrate on the tasks at hand. Edge-to-edge security glass and ultra-thin bezel maximize the view and enhance the on-screen experience. UltraWide Quad HD resolution 3440 x 1440 , AH-IPS LCD technology and wide viewing angles provide absolute picture clarity for working and watching movies with the whole company.

In addition, the engineers managed to achieve professional sound quality. Intelligent speaker placement paired with DTS Sound elevates your music, movies, podcasts and games to the next level. Users will enjoy surround sound filled with dense bass without extraneous noise or distortion at any volume.

Also on display will be a new 27-inch LCD Philips monitor with UltraClear 5K resolution. 14.7 million pixels 5,120 x 2,880 in the latest 5K resolution delivers four times the detail of Quad HD – more detail than ever before. The new display uses PerfectKolor technology: it guarantees factory calibration with 99% AdobeRGB color space support and correct display of one billion colors. Enjoy high-resolution color reproduction and superb ergonomics including a webcam, MultiView for multi-viewing, built-in speakers, anti-glare and Flicker Free technology for reduced eyestrain, and a pixel-perfect finish.

Computers and peripherals

Also at IFA 2015, a new 27-inch IPS-ADS Adobe RGB display with Quantum Dot Color IQ™ will be unveiled. This conversion technology displays up to 50 percent more colors than standard LED displays. It is also more affordable than other professional color tools and more energy efficient: Quantum Dot Color IQ consumes 25% less electricity than other comparable technologies.

Philips

Ambiglow Plus Base monitor stand will make its European debut at IFA 2015. Ambiglow technology creates a halo of light around the device that synchronizes with what’s happening on the screen. The result is a truly lifelike and realistic picture. Backlighting can work even when the monitor is off, in addition, its color and brightness can be easily adjusted, creating a unique atmosphere in the room. The device is even equipped with a timer so that the user can fall asleep or wake up on a “light alarm clock”.

Computers and peripherals

MMD will also show innovative SoftBlue technology at IFA 2015. Protects your eyes and reduces eye fatigue by softening the blue light waves. It reduces the intensity of potentially harmful blue light, but does not harm the accuracy of the original color reproduction. So users can enjoy proper color reproduction at a professional level without straining their eyes.

MMD will showcase new monitors and innovative technologies at the Philips booth in Hall 22. Visitors will be able to test the new products and evaluate the image quality themselves.
