Zhongyi Optics has released the Mitakon Speedmaster 85mm f/1.2 for the Fujifilm G mount. Maximum aperture of f/1.2 of the lens is effective in low light, and the 11-blade aperture offers smooth, soft bokeh.
The lens design consists of 9 elements in 6 groups, including 2 elements with ultra-low dispersion and 4 elements with high refraction index to reduce chromatic aberration and provide sharpness even at maximum aperture. Other features include a 29-degree field of view, a minimum focusing distance of 1m, a 77mm filter thread diameter, and a weight of 921g.
The lens is housed in a metal body and has manual control of focus and aperture. Adjustment rings provide smooth adjustments and rotate without noise or clicks. This makes the lens ideal not only for portraits, but also for video recording. The lens is available for order on the Zhongyi Optics website for $850
